- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions

- Mix butter and cream cheese: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add sugars: Beat in granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Combine wet ingredients: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine mixtures: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Add chocolate chips: Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Bake: Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until set.
- Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a more pronounced cheesecake flavor, consider adding ½ teaspoon lemon juice or zest to the dough.
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking can help prevent spreading and result in thicker cookies.
