Description

These Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies are a delightful combination of creamy cheesecake and classic chocolate chip cookies. Soft, chewy, and bursting with flavor, they are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Cheesecake Dough:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Cookie Dough:

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix butter and cream cheese: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add sugars: Beat in granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Combine wet ingredients: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Prepare dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Combine mixtures: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  7. Add chocolate chips: Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  8. Bake: Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until set.
  9. Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a more pronounced cheesecake flavor, consider adding ½ teaspoon lemon juice or zest to the dough.
  • Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking can help prevent spreading and result in thicker cookies.
