Ingredients
For the Casserole
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1 (15-ounce) can chili (with or without beans)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional Toppings
- Chopped onions
- Sliced jalapeños
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare – Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Arrange the Biscuits & Hot Dogs – Cut each biscuit in half horizontally. Wrap each biscuit half around a hot dog, tucking the ends underneath and laying them seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Repeat with all hot dogs and biscuit halves.
- Add the Chili Layer – Evenly pour the chili over the wrapped hot dogs, ensuring everything is well-covered. Spread gently with a spatula if needed.
- Top with Cheese – Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chili layer for a gooey, melty topping.
- Bake the Casserole – Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through, and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish & Serve – Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with onions, jalapeños, parsley, or a drizzle of mustard as desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
