Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

For Assembly:

  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil or parsley (chopped)
  • Cooked spaghetti or pasta for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Chicken: Pound chicken breasts to even thickness. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, then egg, and coat with breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
