Description

This Chicken Parmesan Casserole is a delicious twist on the classic Chicken Parmesan dish. It’s a comforting and easy-to-make casserole that’s perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken breast (shredded or cubed)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the casserole: Spread the cooked chicken in the baking dish, pour marinara sauce over it, sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Top with mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  3. Make the breadcrumb topping: Combine panko breadcrumbs, olive oil, salt, and remaining Parmesan. Sprinkle over the cheese layer.
  4. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a heartier meal, serve over cooked pasta or with garlic bread.
  • Rotisserie chicken can be used for convenience.
