Description
A mouthwatering fusion of Caesar salad and smash burger magic, this taco features seasoned chicken smashed into tortillas, melty cheese, crisp lettuce, and creamy Caesar dressing—all wrapped up for the ultimate handheld indulgence.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Optional: crouton crumbs, anchovy paste, chopped parsley
Instructions
- Mix ground chicken with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Form into 6 balls and flatten into disks sized for the tortillas.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of oil. Warm tortillas on each side briefly to soften, then set aside.
- Place a tortilla in the skillet, top with a chicken patty, press down with parchment and a spatula to flatten. Cook for 2–3 minutes, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Top cooked chicken side with mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover skillet for 1–2 minutes to melt cheese.
- Transfer taco to plate. Spread Caesar dressing on top, then add romaine lettuce, more Parmesan, and lemon juice.
- Garnish with optional croutons, anchovy paste, or parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use ground turkey, beef, or plant-based meat as alternatives to chicken.
- Warm tortillas before cooking to avoid cracking.
- Top with extra dressing or lemon juice for added flavor.
