Description

This Chicken Avocado Wrap is a quick, nutritious, and flavorful meal perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner. Featuring tender cooked chicken breast, creamy ripe avocado, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese all wrapped in soft flour tortillas with a tangy ranch dressing, this wrap combines fresh ingredients for a satisfying and healthy dish.

Ingredients

Wrap Ingredients

  • 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 tablespoons ranch dressing (or your favorite dressing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Slice or shred the cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Slice the avocado and dice the tomatoes. Shred the lettuce and cheese if not pre-shredded.
  2. Assemble the Wrap: Lay out a flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of ranch dressing evenly over the tortilla for added moisture and flavor.
  3. Add the Fillings: Layer half of the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced chicken, avocado, and shredded cheddar cheese onto the center of the tortilla. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Wrap it Up: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it tightly from one end to the other to enclose all the fillings securely.
  5. Serve: Repeat the process for the second wrap. Cut each wrap in half diagonally if desired, and serve immediately for best freshness and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute ranch dressing with any dressing of choice such as Caesar or a light vinaigrette.
  • To keep the avocado from browning, sprinkle it lightly with lemon or lime juice.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas to adapt the recipe for specific dietary needs.
  • This wrap is best enjoyed fresh but can be wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
