Description

Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Garlic Bread Subs combine tender grilled chicken tossed in creamy Alfredo sauce with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses inside garlic buttered sub rolls. These comforting and flavorful subs are baked until the bread is crispy and the cheese is perfectly melted, making for a delicious and hearty meal.

Ingredients

Chicken Alfredo Filling

  • 1 lb grilled chicken, sliced or shredded
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Sub Rolls & Garlic Butter

  • 4 sub rolls
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Alfredo: Grill or cook the chicken until tender, then slice or shred into bite-sized pieces. Warm the Alfredo sauce in a skillet over medium heat and toss the chicken in the sauce until well coated. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the stuffed subs.
  3. Prepare Garlic Butter: Slice the sub rolls open lengthwise, leaving one side attached. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Brush the inside of each sub roll generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Stuff the Subs: Fill each sub roll with the chicken Alfredo mixture, ensuring an even distribution. Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese generously over the top of the filling.
  5. Bake the Subs: Place the stuffed subs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is crispy on the outside and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the subs from the oven and garnish with extra fresh parsley for added color and flavor. Serve warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought Alfredo sauce for convenience or homemade for a fresher taste.
  • Grilled chicken can be substituted with rotisserie chicken or cooked chicken breast.
  • Adjust garlic and parsley quantities based on personal preference for stronger or milder flavors.
  • For added heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes inside the subs before baking.
  • Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
