Ingredients
Chicken Alfredo Mixture
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ÂĽ tsp black pepper
Biscuit Dough and Assembly
- 2 (16 oz) cans refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky-style works best)
- ÂĽ cup melted butter
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for layering)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for layering)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for greasing)
- 1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo sauce
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a bundt pan thoroughly with olive oil or non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Chicken Alfredo Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded or diced cooked chicken with half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
- Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the refrigerated biscuit dough cans and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces, resulting in about 32 pieces total.
- Assemble the Monkey Bread: Dip each biscuit quarter in the melted butter ensuring each piece is coated. Arrange a layer of biscuit pieces in the greased bundt pan. Sprinkle some of the chicken Alfredo mixture over the biscuit layer, followed by a sprinkle of the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layering biscuit pieces, chicken mixture, and cheeses until all ingredients are used up.
- Add the Alfredo Sauce: Pour the entire jar of Alfredo sauce evenly over the assembled monkey bread in the bundt pan. The sauce will seep into the layers and bind the flavors together during baking.
- Bake the Monkey Bread: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the biscuit dough is golden brown and fully cooked. Test doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
- Serve: Remove from oven and allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Carefully invert the bundt pan onto a serving platter to release the bread.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Optionally, sprinkle fresh parsley on top for color and freshness. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, garlicky pull-apart bread.
Notes
- You can substitute cooked rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Flaky-style biscuit dough works best to create soft, tender layers.
- Use fresh grated Parmesan cheese for the best flavor.
- Ensure thorough greasing of the bundt pan to prevent sticking.
- This monkey bread is best served warm the same day it’s baked.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
