Description

Learn how to make your own delicious and crispy Chick-fil-A style nuggets at home with this easy recipe!

Ingredients

For the Nuggets:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle juice
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken in pickle juice, refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  2. Prepare Coating: Whisk milk and egg in a bowl. Mix flour, sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and baking powder in another bowl.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Drain chicken, dip in milk mixture, then coat with seasoned flour.
  4. Fry the Nuggets: Heat oil, fry chicken in batches until golden and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes or air-fry at 390°F for 10–12 minutes.
  • Marinating in pickle juice is key to replicating the Chick-fil-A flavor.
