Description

Cherry Cheesecake Puppy Chow is a delightful twist on the classic muddy buddies snack, combining the flavors of cherry cheesecake in a crunchy, sweet treat. This no-bake dessert mix is perfect for parties or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Rice Cereal Squares:

5 cups

White Chocolate Chips:

1 cup

Cream Cheese:

4 ounces, softened

Cherry Gelatin Powder:

1 tablespoon (such as cherry Jell-O)

Powdered Sugar:

1 cup

Freeze-Dried Cherries:

1/2 cup, crushed (optional)

Vanilla Extract:

1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cereal: Place the rice cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 20-second intervals until smooth.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Stir in softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour over cereal, folding gently to coat evenly.
  4. Coat with Sugar: Combine powdered sugar and cherry gelatin powder in a zip-top bag. Add coated cereal, seal, and shake to coat.
  5. Add Cherries: Optionally, add crushed freeze-dried cherries and shake to combine.
  6. Cool and Serve: Spread mixture on a baking sheet to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • Try using strawberry gelatin for a different flavor twist.
  • For added texture, include mini graham cracker pieces.
