Description

Ingredients

For the brownie layer:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the cheesecake layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the cherry swirl:

  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix brownie batter: Whisk melted butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, then mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread in pan.
  3. Prepare cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over brownie batter.
  4. Add cherry swirl: Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling over the top and swirl gently into the cheesecake layer.
  5. Bake and cool: Bake for 35–40 minutes, cool completely, then chill for at least 2 hours before slicing.
