Description

Cheesy Spinach-Artichoke Bagels are a deliciously creamy and savory snack featuring a blend of spinach, artichoke hearts, and a trio of cheeses spread over toasted bagel halves. Perfect for a quick lunch, appetizer, or snack, these baked bagels are easy to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Bagels

  • 2 bagels (halved)

Filling

  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained)
  • 1/2 cup canned artichoke hearts (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • crushed red pepper flakes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
  2. Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Spinach and Artichokes: Stir in the thawed and drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan until the mixture is well blended.
  4. Prepare Bagels: Place the halved bagels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet and evenly spread the spinach-artichoke cheese mixture over each bagel half.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese topping is melted and bubbly.
  6. Broil (Optional): For a golden and slightly crispy top, broil the bagels for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm and enjoy.
