Ingredients
Dough:
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Garlic Butter:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp salt
Cheese Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For Serving:
- 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick, and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Brush the garlic butter over the entire surface of the dough.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top of the dough.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and Serve: Let the breadsticks cool slightly, then slice them into sticks. Warm the marinara sauce and serve alongside the breadsticks for dipping.
Notes
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture for a spicy kick.
- You can use a blend of cheeses like provolone or fontina for more depth of flavor.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
