Ingredients
For the Sloppy Joes:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Garlic Bread:
- 4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, paprika, and water. Simmer until thickened.
- Prepare the rolls: Split hoagie rolls, spread with garlic butter, and toast in the oven.
- Assemble: Spoon the beef mixture onto rolls, top with cheeses, and bake until melted.
- Serve: Top with remaining rolls and serve warm.
