Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 green onion, finely sliced
- 1 (6 oz) can lump crab meat, drained and picked over
Optional Toppings
- Extra green onions
- Sweet chili sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a small baking dish or 9-inch pie pan to ensure the dip doesn’t stick.
- Mix Cream Cheese Base: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy for a well-blended dip base.
- Add Cheeses and Seasonings: Incorporate the shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and finely sliced green onion into the cream cheese mixture. Stir thoroughly to blend all flavors.
- Fold in Crab Meat: Gently fold in the drained lump crab meat to maintain its texture and avoid breaking it up too much, combining it evenly throughout the dip.
- Transfer and Bake: Spread the crab mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the top turns lightly golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and garnish with extra green onions and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce if desired. Serve warm with wonton chips, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- To make wonton chips: Cut wonton wrappers into triangles, brush with oil, and bake at 375°F for 5–7 minutes until crisp and golden.
- Use gluten-free soy sauce and crab meat to make this recipe gluten-friendly.
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce into the mixture before baking.
- This dip can be prepared a few hours ahead and refrigerated; bake just before serving.
