Description

A warm, cheesy bruschetta dip combining melted cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan topped with fresh tomato and basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze. Perfect as an easy Italian-American appetizer served with toasted bread or chips.

Ingredients

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Topping

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Mix Cheese Base: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly until well blended.
  3. Bake the Dip: Spread the cheese mixture evenly in a small baking dish. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  4. Prepare Topping: While the dip bakes, mix diced cherry tomatoes with chopped fresh basil in a small bowl to create the fresh topping.
  5. Assemble and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and evenly spoon the tomato and basil mixture over the hot cheesy base. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve warm with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or tortilla chips.

Notes

  • Serve with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture for a hint of heat.
  • Substitute a portion of cream cheese with ricotta for a lighter texture.
