Ingredients

Crescent Roll Layers:

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare dish: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the first crescent roll: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the dish, sealing the seams.
  3. Prepare the cream cheese filling: Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the dough.
  4. Add the top crescent layer: Unroll the second can of dough over the filling.
  5. Top with butter and cinnamon sugar: Pour melted butter over the top layer. Mix ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the butter.
  6. Bake and cool: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden. Cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve: Enjoy warm or chilled.

Notes

  • For a citrus twist, add 1 tsp lemon zest to the filling.
  • This casserole stores well in the fridge and can be reheated in the microwave for a quick treat.
