 - 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
 - 4 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
 
Filling and Topping:
- 8 oz cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes
 - ½ cup baking soda (for water bath)
 - 1 large egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
 - Coarse salt for topping
 
Instructions
- Mix Yeast Mixture: In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy.
 - Make Dough: Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
