Description

This Charred Scallion and Chili Crisp Dip is a flavor-packed, creamy dip perfect for snacking. The charred scallions combined with chili crisp create a spicy and savory dip that pairs wonderfully with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Scallion Dip:

  • 1 bunch scallions (green onions), trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Dip Base:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chili crisp (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Garnish:

  • chopped cilantro or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Char Scallions: Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Toss scallions with olive oil and grill until lightly charred, about 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally. Let cool slightly, then chop finely.
  2. Mix Dip: In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise, chili crisp, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Stir until smooth. Fold in the charred scallions.
  3. Serve: Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with extra chili crisp, and garnish with cilantro or sesame seeds. Serve with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • The dip can be made a day ahead and chilled—the flavors intensify overnight.
