Description

Carrabba’s Bread Dipping Oil is a flavorful Italian appetizer featuring a vibrant blend of dried herbs, garlic, and Parmesan cheese combined with high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Perfectly paired with warm, crusty bread, this easy no-cook dip brings restaurant-style elegance to your table in just minutes.

Ingredients

Spice Mix

  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

To Serve

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh or jarred)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Mix: In a small bowl or spice jar, thoroughly mix together the dried basil, dried parsley, garlic powder, dried oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, ground black pepper, and kosher salt.
  2. Assemble the Dip: To serve, spoon about 1 tablespoon of the spice mix onto a small plate. Add 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic on top followed by a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Add Olive Oil and Combine: Drizzle approximately 2 to 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil over the mix. Stir gently to blend the flavors evenly.
  4. Serve Immediately: Serve the dipping oil warm alongside crusty bread for an authentic Italian appetizer experience.

Notes

  • Multiply the dry mix ingredients to make a larger batch and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
  • Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil for the best flavor and richness.
  • Add a splash of balsamic vinegar for a tangy variation if desired.
