Description

These Caramel Peanut Butter Brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate with ribbons of gooey caramel and creamy peanut butter. The result is a dessert that’s irresistibly decadent, with perfect balance between sweet, salty, and rich flavors. A true showstopper for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Flaky sea salt (optional for garnish)
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and bittersweet chocolate together in 30-second bursts, stirring after each. Once smooth, set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in both sugars into the warm chocolate mixture until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract. The batter should be thick and glossy.
  4. Gently fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce and half of the peanut butter over the batter. Use a butter knife to swirl the caramel and peanut butter through the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter, caramel, and peanut butter, swirling again to create marbled patterns.
  6. Bake for 32-36 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle with flaky sea salt right after baking for extra flavor. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for the ultimate indulgence!

Notes

  • If you prefer crunchy peanut butter, feel free to swap it in for a bit of extra texture.
  • For an extra decadent treat, drizzle additional caramel sauce on top before serving.
  • If you’re doubling the recipe, use a 9×13-inch pan and adjust the baking time by about 8-12 minutes.
  • Ensure the caramel sauce is thick and rich to achieve the best texture in the brownies.
