Description

The Caramel Apple Mule is a festive fall cocktail that blends apple cider, caramel, vodka, and spicy ginger beer into one irresistibly refreshing and cozy drink.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple cider (fresh or unfiltered)
  • 1 tbsp caramel sauce (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka (plain, caramel, or cinnamon-flavored)
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ginger beer, to top (about 1/4 cup)
  • Crushed ice
  • Apple slices and cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a copper mug or cocktail glass with crushed ice.
  2. In a shaker or small pitcher, mix apple cider and caramel sauce until the caramel fully dissolves.
  3. Add vodka and fresh lime juice to the mixture and stir well.
  4. Strain into the prepared mug over ice, then top with ginger beer.
  5. Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Optionally, drizzle more caramel sauce on top and serve with a straw.

Notes

  • Use rosemary sprigs, orange zest, or pomegranate seeds for festive garnishes.
  • Pairs well with cheese boards, baked brie, or savory-sweet fall appetizers.
  • Chill copper mugs for a frosty, refreshing presentation.
  • Set up a DIY Mule Bar with garnishes and mixers for entertaining.
  • Store leftover base (without ginger beer) in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Freeze cider-caramel mix in ice cube trays for future cocktails.
  • Skip vodka or sub club soda for a non-alcoholic version.
  • Use ginger beer for the signature spicy finish; ginger ale can be used with added fresh ginger.
  • Try bourbon or spiced rum instead of vodka for a unique twist.
