Description

This Caramel Apple Fudge is a delectable no-bake treat combining the sweetness of white chocolate and caramel with the warm, spicy flavors of apple cider, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Perfect for fall, this easy fudge recipe yields rich, creamy squares with a delightful apple twist and luscious caramel swirls.

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant apple cider drink mix (or 6 individual packets)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Caramel

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal of the fudge after setting.
  2. Melt Chocolate and Condensed Milk: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Add Flavorings: Stir in the instant apple cider drink mix, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until all ingredients are fully combined.
  4. Layer Fudge and Caramel: Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly pour half of the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top and use a knife to gently swirl it into the fudge layer.
  5. Top Layer: Pour the remaining fudge mixture over the caramel layer, smoothing the surface evenly. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and swirl again with a knife for a marbled effect.
  6. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 4 hours or until it is fully set and firm to the touch.
  7. Cut and Serve: Once chilled, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into 36 squares and serve slightly chilled for best flavor.

Notes

  • To intensify the apple flavor, finely chop dried apples and fold them into the fudge mixture before pouring into the pan.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • The fudge is best served slightly chilled to maintain its creamy texture and firmness.
