Ingredients
Puff Pastry Bundles:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 8 fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine), drained
- 8 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- salt and pepper to taste
- flour for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Pastry: Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface into a 12-inch square. Cut into 8 squares.
- Assemble Bundles: Place a basil leaf, half a cherry tomato, and a mozzarella ball in the center of each square. Add balsamic glaze, salt, and pepper. Fold corners up and pinch to form a bundle.
- Bake: Brush bundles with beaten egg, bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Serve: Cool slightly, drizzle with more balsamic glaze, and serve.
