Description

The Candy Cane Martini is the ultimate holiday cocktail—creamy, minty, and utterly festive. It blends vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps, and white crème de cacao with a rich swirl of cream, all served in a rimmed glass of crushed candy cane for a visually stunning, season‑perfect sip.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz peppermint schnapps
  • 1 oz white crème de cacao
  • 12 oz half‑and‑half or light cream (adjust for desired richness)
  • Crushed candy cane, for rimming and garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Crush a candy cane into coarse sprinkles and place on a small plate. Moisten the rim of a martini or coupe glass with water or cream, then dip into the crushed candy cane to coat. Set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps, white crème de cacao, and half‑and‑half.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, until the shaker feels frosty.
  4. Strain into the prepared martini glass.
  5. Garnish with a mini candy cane hanging on the rim and/or a sprinkle of crushed candy cane atop the drink. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use plain vodka if you don’t have vanilla, and add a drop of vanilla extract.
  • No white crème de cacao? Use a touch of white chocolate syrup instead—but adjust sweetness.
  • For a dairy‑free version, substitute half‑and‑half with coconut cream.
  • To batch‑make, mix ingredients (minus ice) in a pitcher, chill, then shake individually with ice before serving.
  • Crushed candy cane adds both aroma and festive presentation—don’t skip it!
