Description

These Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delightful twist on classic chocolate chip cookies, with the addition of yellow cake mix and colorful sprinkles for a fun and festive treat.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups yellow cake mix (dry mix only)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Wet Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cake mix, and baking soda.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beat until combined.
  4. Combine and Bake: Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, bake for 9-11 minutes.
  5. Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill dough for 30 minutes before baking for best results.
  • Experiment with different cake mix flavors for unique cookies.
