Description

These Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs are a spicy twist on a classic appetizer, featuring creamy deviled egg filling topped with a seasoned shrimp for a flavorful bite.

Ingredients

For the Deviled Eggs:

  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (plus more for garnish)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Shrimp Topping:

  • 12 small cooked shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 green onion (thinly sliced)
  • Optional hot sauce for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Eggs: Place eggs in a large pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, then let sit for 10–12 minutes. Peel, slice in half, and remove yolks.
  2. Make the Filling: Mash yolks in a bowl, then mix with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Sauté shrimp with Cajun seasoning in olive oil until cooked through.
  4. Assemble: Fill egg white halves with yolk mixture, top with a shrimp, green onions, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked shrimp to save time.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning and hot sauce to taste.
