Description

Indulge in a delicious Burger with Fried Egg and Special Sauce for a gourmet twist on a classic cheeseburger. This recipe features juicy beef patties topped with melted cheddar, a runny fried egg, and a flavor-packed special sauce, all sandwiched between toasted buns. Perfect for brunch or a satisfying dinner!

Ingredients

For the Burger:

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 4 red onion slices
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil for frying

For the Special Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle relish
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Burgers: Form beef into patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3–4 minutes per side. Top with cheese during the last minute.
  3. Fry the Eggs: In a skillet, fry eggs sunny side up or over-easy.
  4. Assemble: Spread special sauce on toasted buns, layer with lettuce, tomato, a cheeseburger patty, a fried egg, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding crispy bacon or avocado slices.
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or Swiss cheese for a different flavor profile.
