Description

Adorable Bunny Tail Cake Pops made with crumbled cake and frosting, shaped into bunny tails and dipped in white chocolate. Perfect for Easter or spring-themed parties.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 box of white cake mix (plus ingredients needed to prepare it)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla frosting
  • 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • Mini marshmallows (for bunny tails)
  • Cake pop sticks

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumb the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  3. Mix in the vanilla frosting until the mixture holds together like dough.
  4. Shape into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  6. Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
  7. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted chocolate and insert into each cake ball.
  8. Dip the entire cake pop into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  9. Immediately sprinkle with shredded coconut to resemble fur.
  10. Press a mini marshmallow onto each cake pop to create the bunny tail.
  11. Let them set upright in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand until the coating is firm.

Notes

  • You can use homemade cake and frosting if preferred.
  • Chilling the cake balls before dipping prevents them from falling apart.
  • Use food coloring to tint the coconut for a playful touch.
