Ingredients
Pizza Base
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Cornmeal or flour for dusting
Toppings
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded)
- 1/3 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 red onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles or ranch dressing (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
- Prepare Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper sprinkled with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
- Toss Chicken: In a bowl, toss the shredded chicken with buffalo wing sauce until well coated, ensuring every piece is fully flavored.
- Assemble Pizza: Brush the olive oil evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses over the dough in an even layer. Distribute the buffalo chicken evenly on top, then add the thinly sliced red onions scattered across.
- Bake Pizza: Carefully slide the pizza (with the parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust turns golden and the cheese is bubbling and melted.
- Add Finishing Touches: Remove the pizza from the oven. If desired, top with blue cheese crumbles or drizzle ranch dressing over the pizza. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions for added freshness and color before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and enhanced flavor.
- Adjust the heat level by using more or less buffalo wing sauce to suit your spice preference.
- Ranch lovers can add extra ranch drizzle after baking or serve it on the side for dipping.
