Ingredients
Brownie Base:
- 1 box fudge brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as directed), or homemade brownie batter
 
Cheesecake Layer:
- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
 - 2 large eggs
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1/2 cup sour cream
 
Optional Toppings:
- chocolate ganache
 - whipped cream
 - chocolate shavings
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare brownie base: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan. Prepare the brownie batter and spread it in the pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
 - Prepare cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar, add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream. Pour over the brownie layer.
 - Bake and cool: Bake for 40-45 minutes, then let sit in the oven for 1 hour. Cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
 - Top and serve: Add optional toppings before serving.
