Description

A sweet and savory twist on the classic grilled cheese, this Brie, Apple, and Cranberry Grilled Cheese is perfect for fall or anytime you crave a gourmet sandwich.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 oz Brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 apple, thinly sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer Brie cheese, apple slices, and cranberry sauce.
  3. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
