Description

Breakfast Charcuterie Cups are a fun and elegant twist on the classic charcuterie board, perfectly portioned for individual servings. These portable breakfast cups feature a balanced assortment of eggs, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, and more—making them ideal for brunch parties, special occasions, or grab-and-go mornings. Each cup is customizable and visually impressive, combining savory and sweet flavors in a single, crowd-pleasing presentation.

Ingredients

Egg Base

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Meats

  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 6 slices salami
  • 6 slices ham

Cheeses

  • 3 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 3 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 3 oz gouda cheese, cubed

Fruits

  • 1/2 cup seedless grapes
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, halved
  • 1/2 cup blueberries

Extras & Garnishes

  • 6 mini croissants or baguette slices
  • 1/4 cup mixed nuts
  • Honey or jam, for serving (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (chives, parsley), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Bake Egg Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Lightly grease a 6-cup muffin tin and divide the egg mixture evenly among cups. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the eggs are set and puffed. Let cool slightly, then carefully remove from the tin.
  2. Assemble Meats and Cheeses: Roll or fold the prosciutto, salami, and ham into attractive shapes. Cube or slice the cheeses as desired. This ensures each component fits neatly into the serving cups and is visually appealing.
  3. Prepare Fruits and Extras: Wash and dry the fresh fruit. Slice strawberries and cut grapes if large. Set out mini croissants or baguette slices and a small bowl of mixed nuts.
  4. Build Charcuterie Cups: Arrange one baked egg bite in the bottom of each individual cup or small bowl. Add a few pieces each of prosciutto, salami, and ham alongside the egg. Tuck in assorted cheeses, fruit, a croissant or bread slice, and a sprinkling of nuts.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Drizzle a bit of honey or add a small spoonful of jam if you like a sweet touch. Top each cup with fresh herbs for color and flavor. Serve immediately for best taste and presentation.

Notes

  • You can make the egg bases a day ahead and store them in the refrigerator.
  • Customize with your favorite meats, cheeses, or seasonal fruits.
  • Offer a vegetarian version by omitting meat and adding roasted veggies or extra cheese.
  • Best served fresh, but leftovers can be covered and stored for one day.
