Description

Crispy and flavorful boneless chicken wings made with tender chicken breast pieces, coated in a spicy seasoned flour mixture, deep-fried to golden perfection, and tossed in tangy buffalo sauce. This quick and easy recipe yields a delicious appetizer or snack perfect for gatherings or game day.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 pound Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, diced into 1-inch pieces

Breading & Seasoning

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper

Sauce & Oil

  • 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
  • Vegetable Oil for Frying (approx. 3 inches depth)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the egg wash: Whisk the eggs together in a shallow bowl. Place the chicken pieces in the eggs and toss to ensure they are thoroughly coated.
  2. Mix the flour seasoning: In a large zip-lock bag, combine the flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Seal and shake to mix well.
  3. Coat the chicken: Working in batches, remove chicken from the egg wash allowing excess to drip off, then place into the zip-lock bag with the flour mixture. Seal and shake to coat the chicken evenly.
  4. Rest the coated chicken: Transfer the coated chicken pieces to a baking sheet and let them rest while heating the oil.
  5. Heat the oil: Pour approximately 3 inches of vegetable oil into a large pan or fryer and heat to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Fry the chicken: In batches, fry the chicken pieces for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Drain excess oil: Place the fried chicken on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  8. Toss with buffalo sauce: Transfer the chicken to a large bowl, pour the buffalo sauce over, and toss well to coat all pieces.
  9. Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy your crispy, spicy boneless wings.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double coat the chicken by dipping back into the egg wash and flour mixture before frying.
  • Make sure the oil temperature remains steady at 375°F to ensure even frying and prevent sogginess.
  • Use a thermometer to check chicken internal temperature to ensure safety.
  • Buffalo sauce can be substituted with barbecue or honey garlic sauce for different flavors.
  • Leftover wings can be reheated in an oven at 375°F for 10 minutes to restore crispiness.
