Indulge in the delightful combination of sweet, salty, and fruity flavors with this Blackberry Pretzel Dessert. A crunchy pretzel crust topped with a creamy layer and finished off with a refreshing blackberry gelatin, this dessert is a perfect blend of textures and tastes.

Ingredients

Pretzel Crust:

  • 2 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Blackberry Gelatin Layer:

  • 1 package (6 oz) blackberry-flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh blackberries, halved or chopped if large

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare Pretzel Crust: Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press into a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
  3. Make Cream Cheese Layer: Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled crust. Chill.
  4. Prepare Blackberry Gelatin: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Cool, then stir in blackberries. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese layer covers the crust completely to avoid sogginess.
  • For variation, add a mix of blueberries or raspberries.
