Description
Big Mac wraps are a fun, handheld twist on the iconic fast-food burger, featuring seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, cheese, pickles, and homemade Big Mac sauce all wrapped in a soft tortilla. They’re quick to make, customizable, and perfect for busy weeknights, lunches, or satisfying that fast-food craving at home.
Ingredients
For the Wraps
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup diced pickles
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
- ¼ cup finely diced onion
For the Big Mac Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients (mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika) until smooth. Refrigerate while you prepare the wraps to allow flavors to meld.
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef along with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook, breaking the meat apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease from the skillet to keep the wraps from being greasy.
- Warm the Tortillas: Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute per side or warm them briefly in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel to make them pliable and soft.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay a warmed tortilla flat and spread a generous spoonful of the prepared Big Mac sauce in the center. Layer on cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced pickles, finely diced onions, and shredded cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Fold and Roll: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly from one end like a burrito to enclose the filling securely.
- Optional Toasting: Place the wrapped tortilla seam-side down in a clean skillet over medium heat. Toast for 2 to 3 minutes until the wrap is golden brown and slightly crisp, ensuring it holds together well.
- Serve: Slice each wrap in half and serve immediately with extra Big Mac sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Prepare the Big Mac sauce and cook the beef ahead of time for quicker weekday assembly.
- Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives for a lighter or vegetarian-friendly version.
- Add tomato slices or jalapeños inside the wrap for extra flavor and a bit of heat.
- Use flour tortillas large enough to hold the fillings securely without tearing.
- To keep wraps warm before serving, cover with foil or place in a low oven briefly.
