Ingredients
Meat and Seasoning
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup diced white onion
Other Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing (or Big Mac-style sauce)
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Drain any excess grease.
- Add Onions: Stir in the diced white onion and continue cooking for 2–3 minutes until the onions soften.
- Warm the Tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until they are pliable and easy to roll.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay each tortilla flat and spread about 2 tablespoons of Thousand Island dressing in the center. Add a layer of shredded lettuce, then the cooked ground beef mixture, followed by diced pickles and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll the Wraps: Roll the tortilla tightly like a burrito, tucking in the sides as you go to keep the filling secure.
- Toast the Wraps: For added flavor and texture, toast the wrapped burrito seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve: Slice the wraps in half and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a healthier or vegetarian option.
- For a more authentic Big Mac flavor, prepare your own sauce using mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and a dash of vinegar.
- Toast the wraps briefly to add a crispy texture and help seal them.
- Use large, sturdy tortillas to prevent tearing when rolling.
