Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
 - 1 cup granulated sugar
 - ½ cup orange juice
 - ½ cup water
 - 1 teaspoon orange zest
 - ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
 - pinch of salt
 
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
 - Cook the Sauce: Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
 - Cool and Serve: Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Transfer to a serving dish or refrigerate until ready to use. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
 
Notes
- For a more textured sauce, reserve ½ cup of cranberries and stir them in during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
 - Add a splash of vanilla extract or a dash of nutmeg for extra warmth.
