Description
A crave-worthy pile of crispy fries smothered with melted cheddar and mozzarella, topped with crispy bacon and drizzled with bold BBQ sauce. Perfect for sharing or indulging solo!
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen or fresh-cut thick fries (e.g., steak or crinkle cut)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (smoky or sweet)
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing or sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven or air fryer and cook fries until golden and crispy according to package instructions or recipe.
- Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- Spread the hot fries on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish. Sprinkle evenly with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbly—watch closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and top immediately with bacon, a generous drizzle of BBQ sauce, and optional toppings like jalapeños, green onions, or ranch.
- Serve hot, straight from the pan or on a serving platter.
Notes
- Use thick fries like waffle or steak fries to hold toppings better.
- Layer cheese both under and over the fries for even melting.
- Add proteins like grilled chicken, pulled pork, or chili to make it a full meal.
- For a vegetarian version, use veggie bacon and load up on grilled veggies.
