Description

A crave-worthy pile of crispy fries smothered with melted cheddar and mozzarella, topped with crispy bacon and drizzled with bold BBQ sauce. Perfect for sharing or indulging solo!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen or fresh-cut thick fries (e.g., steak or crinkle cut)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (smoky or sweet)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing or sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer and cook fries until golden and crispy according to package instructions or recipe.
  2. Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  3. Spread the hot fries on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish. Sprinkle evenly with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Broil for 2–3 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbly—watch closely to prevent burning.
  5. Remove from oven and top immediately with bacon, a generous drizzle of BBQ sauce, and optional toppings like jalapeños, green onions, or ranch.
  6. Serve hot, straight from the pan or on a serving platter.

Notes

  • Use thick fries like waffle or steak fries to hold toppings better.
  • Layer cheese both under and over the fries for even melting.
  • Add proteins like grilled chicken, pulled pork, or chili to make it a full meal.
  • For a vegetarian version, use veggie bacon and load up on grilled veggies.
