Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey
For Serving:
- 12 slider buns
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers or pickles
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken in a bowl with buttermilk and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Coating: In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Fry the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture, and fry until golden and cooked through.
- Make the Bang Bang Sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey.
- Coat the Chicken: Toss fried chicken in the sauce until coated.
- Assemble Sliders: Toast buns, layer with lettuce, saucy chicken, cucumbers/pickles, and green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a lighter version, bake or air-fry the chicken instead of deep frying.
