Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are juicy, spicy, and coated in a creamy, sweet chili sauce that’s seriously addictive. Perfect for a quick dinner or party appetizer, they cook fast and deliver big flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Chicken Skewers

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for grilling or pan-searing)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Bang Bang Sauce

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes if using to prevent burning during cooking.
  2. Preheat Cooking Surface: Heat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.
  3. Season the Chicken: In a bowl, toss the chicken cubes with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper ensuring even coating.
  4. Thread Chicken onto Skewers: Carefully thread the seasoned chicken pieces onto the skewers, distributing evenly.
  5. Cook the Chicken: Grill or pan-sear the skewers for 3–4 minutes on each side, until the chicken is fully cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Make the Bang Bang Sauce: While chicken cooks, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl until smooth and well combined.
  7. Serve: Brush or drizzle the warm chicken skewers with the Bang Bang sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • To save time, marinate the chicken beforehand and prepare the Bang Bang sauce in advance.
  • Serve skewers with rice, lettuce wraps, or a crunchy slaw for a complete meal.
  • Using wooden skewers requires soaking to avoid burning; metal skewers do not require soaking.
