Description

These Baked Garlic Parmesan Potato Wedges are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with savory flavors of garlic, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Perfect as a side dish, they are easy to prepare and bake to golden perfection in the oven.

Ingredients

Potatoes

  • 4 medium russet potatoes, washed and cut into wedges

Seasoning Mix

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Cheese & Garnish

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare seasoning mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika thoroughly to create a flavorful coating for the potato wedges.
  3. Coat the potato wedges: Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss well until each wedge is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese: Sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese into the bowl and toss again to distribute the cheese over the wedges.
  5. Arrange wedges for baking: Place the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, arranging them skin side down for optimal crispiness.
  6. Top with remaining Parmesan: Evenly sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the arranged wedges to enhance flavor and browning.
  7. Bake the wedges: Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes. Flip the wedges halfway through baking to ensure even browning and crispy edges.
  8. Finish and serve: Remove the wedges from the oven and optionally garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before seasoning, then pat dry thoroughly before tossing with the seasoning.
  • Serve with dipping sauces like ranch or garlic aioli for added flavor.
