Ingredients
Cranberry Cream Cheese Filling:
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- ½ teaspoon orange zest
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Pastry:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray.
- Mix Cranberry Sauce: In a bowl, mix the cranberry sauce with orange zest, cinnamon, and salt.
- Prepare Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry slightly. Place the cream cheese in the center, top with cranberry mixture, and pecans if desired. Fold the pastry over and seal.
