Description

Indulge in this delightful Baked Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip with a Golden Crust, a perfect holiday appetizer that combines the sweetness of cranberry sauce with the creaminess of cheese, all wrapped in a flaky puff pastry crust.

Ingredients

Cranberry Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)

Pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray.
  2. Mix Cranberry Sauce: In a bowl, mix the cranberry sauce with orange zest, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Prepare Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry slightly. Place the cream cheese in the center, top with cranberry mixture, and pecans if desired. Fold the pastry over and seal.
  4. Brush with Egg Wash: Brush the pastry with beaten egg.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crisp. Let cool before serving with crackers or baguette.

Notes

  • You can use crescent roll dough instead of puff pastry.
  • Add a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness.
  • Try with raspberry or fig jam as alternate toppings.
