These Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls are a delicious and healthy appetizer or snack option. Packed with fresh broccoli, two types of cheese, and flavorful seasonings, these crispy bites are perfect for parties or as a savory treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped fresh broccoli florets (lightly steamed)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • olive oil spray for baking


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare broccoli: Lightly steam the broccoli florets for 3–4 minutes until just tender, then finely chop and let cool.
  3. Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Form balls: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and form into balls. Place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden brown and firm. Let cool before serving.
