Description

Juicy chicken tenders wrapped in thick-cut bacon and rolled in a sweet, spiced brown sugar coating, then baked to crispy, caramelized perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 10-12 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil and coat lightly with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Wrap each chicken tender with a strip of bacon, tucking the end underneath.
  4. Roll each wrapped tender in the brown sugar mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Place tenders on the prepared baking sheet with space between each piece.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning once halfway, until bacon is crisp and chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C).
  7. Let rest 2-3 minutes before serving. Garnish as desired.

Notes

  • Use turkey bacon for a leaner alternative, though it may not crisp as well.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat.
  • Serve with ranch, blue cheese dip, or as part of a brunch spread.
