Description

These Awesome Sauce Roast Beef Sandwich Puffs are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer featuring tender roast beef combined with flavorful sauces and melted provolone cheese, all baked inside golden crescent dough cups. Perfect for parties or quick snacks, these savory puffs offer a delightful mix of tangy, spicy, and sweet flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

For the Crescent Dough Cups

  • 1 (8-oz) can crescent dough sheet

For the Filling

  • lb thinly sliced deli roast beef, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp honey mustard dressing
  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp thick teriyaki sauce
  • ½ cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking during baking.
  2. Shape the Dough: Unroll the crescent rolls and press the dough into one large rectangle. Cut this rectangle into 24 equal squares. Press each dough square into the cups of the muffin pan, shaping the dough so it rises up around the edges to form little cups.
  3. Mix the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the finely chopped roast beef, honey mustard dressing, hot sauce, thick teriyaki sauce, shredded provolone cheese, and the large egg. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Fill the Dough Cups: Spoon the meat mixture evenly into each prepared dough cup in the muffin pan, filling them generously but not overflowing.
  5. Bake: Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until the dough cups are lightly browned and the filling is set. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute provolone cheese with mozzarella or cheddar for a different flavor.
  • Adjust hot sauce quantity to suit your spice preference.
  • These puffs are best served warm fresh out of the oven.
  • Use a small spoon or cookie scoop to evenly portion the filling.
  • To make ahead, assemble but do not bake; cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours, then bake before serving.
