Ingredients

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce leaves for serving
Instructions
- Heat the Sesame Oil: Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook Aromatics: Add the onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic and ginger.
- Cook Chicken: Add ground chicken, cook until browned. Stir in bell pepper and water chestnuts.
- Prepare Sauce: Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha. Pour over chicken mixture.
- Combine Flavors: Cook for a few minutes to combine flavors. Stir in green onions.
- Assemble: Spoon chicken mixture into lettuce leaves and serve.
