Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Prepare cake batter: Cream butter and brown sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and applesauce. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
