Description

This delicious Apple Bread recipe is a perfect treat for any time of day. Moist and full of apple flavor, this bread is great for breakfast or as a snack with a cup of coffee or tea. It’s easy to make and will fill your home with the warm, comforting scent of cinnamon and apples.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Apple Mixture:

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Prepare apple mixture: In another bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Mix wet ingredients: In a separate large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the apple mixture.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can add chopped nuts or raisins to the batter for extra texture and flavor.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
