Description

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless pork chops or pork shoulder, cut into chunks
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green beans (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp ground sage
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 2 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Pork: Heat oil in a Dutch oven, sear pork until browned. Set aside.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Cook Stew: Return pork, add vegetables, herbs, salt, pepper, broth. Simmer covered for 40-45 minutes.
  4. Finish the Stew: Stir in cream, simmer uncovered. Thicken with flour if desired. Adjust seasoning and garnish with parsley.
